Addressing substance use through drug and alcohol testing is critical to providing quality care in an integrated treatment setting. The Grove utilizes drug testing in our programs to hold our participants accountable to the goals that they have set. Alcohol and drug testing is another example of how The Grove seeks to provide evidence-based care. Testing can identify evidence of recent use of alcohol, prescription drugs and illicit drugs. The Grove adheres to SAMHSA’s guidelines in testing for illicit drug use. Alcohol confirmation tests are conducted using testing devices that analyze breath, as reflected in the Department of Transportation’s guidelines.
